War.
    It brings the inevitable. Death.
In a way, my soul wants the soothing white light at the end, calming your body, relieving you of everything, releasing my soul to wander.
On the other hand, every cell in my body wants to survive, to live and exist, even if the world around me has been reduced to ashes.

And caught in between is the turquoise eyed boy who holds a part of my soul hostage.

                ....._×_«>_*_«>_×_.....

Alive in a post war world, Ruby Angelfalls exists a danger filled life, haunted by hallucinations and memories of a lost boy.

The boy had never been scourged by dread, not really, untouched still of startling agony to become his reality. He spotted the imposing cliffside meaning to change that by mere accident, kept in defiant remembrance still of this heavenly music descended upon Earth from Heaven, magnificent, majestic and entrancing, this blue ship which had came last night to conjure mystery and great brilliance vibrating with splendor and glory born, like summer sunshine brought unto gloomy night, unlike anything ever heard of. He paused in thought to look at what was dangling from these rocketed walls, instilled immediately by mortal agony. What encountered him there was awful, horrific, spun from his nightmare to turn to atrocious truth. They left a message for him, these strangers, a message for all mankind. All the people from the town were nailed on the colossal rock with obsidian spikes the size of fists, hidden in the darkness as horror always lurked there within. Blood, everywhere. The spikes ripped skin open, tore their bodies apart to let it be a grotesque image, the self-portrait of Death itself. Stiff pale limbs, grossly tangled together, a myriad of heads decorating empty space. A few mutilated legs and arms lay motionless on the bottom of it, of the mere terror, the waves had yet to reach and clean the crime scene, crimson rocks and red sand carnation furthermore. The details swam and blurred his view. He was thankful, for a glimpse sufficed a lifetime. When the dark ship came, it didn't only warn the people of the Destruction following behind, they carried it themselves, bestowing it willingly and with intent, purpose, unknown and arbitrary as it may seem regardless. People rumored among their crowds that they were in fact the cause, the real Bringer of Death. The Harbingers of Cruelty. The Black Squad, Side of Doom. Known perhaps better by their most famous name, the Skeleton Crew. _ complete
The Greylands: Modern Edition by SusanSkylark
1 part Complete
A land of shadows, of mystery, of obfuscated Truth. Welcome to the Greylands, that strange world, within the bounds of Time, peopled by mortal men. We cannot see truly, only as through a glass, darkly. There are things that move and have their being completely beyond our ability to perceive them. There are things beyond our mortal ability to comprehend. There are hints and glimmers hidden within the body of revealed Truth, but there is much we do not know, cannot yet understand, and could never dare dream. These stories are mere fancy, with a seed of Truth at their core. They play with the ideas of mortality and Eternity, Time and things beyond it, and of course the epic battle of Good against Evil. Each stands alone, and though there are common themes, threads, names, and concepts, each story is an entity unto itself and should not be seen as occurring in the same world or mistaken for installments of a series. These are random musings, not Gospel Truth, and should not be taken as such. Joy, hope, and encouragement are hopefully a byproduct, but certainly not sound Theology. If you would know more of the true world beyond these Greylands, one must be a careful student of the Scriptures, not of silly stories such as these. While still fairytales, these stories are set in modern surroundings rather than the land of Faerie! Each story is unique unto itself, and doesn't reference any other story, world or character elsewhere.

I had white feathers before I have fallen now I have none but a scared back. I thought I was living and wasn't alone but I truly didn't know until I meet you. Your eyes of ruby called to me with a melody I have never heard, at first I thought I was hearing things. Suddenly my heart beats only for you and my thoughts only think of you but I still didn't listen, I was afraid of the hurt and the good times. Afraid that if I love you something would happen, nothing good. Before I know it you have my bleeding heart in your hands and my wings regrow but only in black. Hand in hand, forehead to forehead, eye to eye, mouth shut but words are said, whispering I love you. *slow updates* * I don't own The Little Vampire* (Feedback helps me keep writing.)
