Dire calamity

Verity is terrified, she doesn't understand death, and wants to know what happens when you die. She doesn't want to die to figure it out, but she's tired of living with the uncertainty.

She's tried many ways to control this fear, and she continues to try. Will she lose friendships in the process? Will they grow stronger? It can definitely put a strain on things, but she wants to figure it out or learn to not be so afraid.
