Phil becomes an alcoholic after losing his best friend. He never told him his true feelings for him and now it's eating at him. He goes to parties every Friday night and doesn't come home until 3 in the morning the next day. He used to be a writer but has been on writer's block for years, so he gets a new job at a cafe and meets someone who changes his whole life around.
Dan hates everything. His job, his girlfriend, and his family. No friends, he comes home and plays games with an online friend and doesn't budge except for the bathroom and to get food or something to drink. His mum, worried, forces him into group counseling with a bunch of weirdos to make "friends".
