I was drifting away from the shore. The waves grew larger and rougher. I struggled to get back to land. 

Suddenly, I was engulfed by cold water and darkness surrounded me. I couldn't breathe; my mouth was full of water. 

I reached out for help, even though I knew nobody would see me. Then I saw a faint shadow of a tail before blacking out.
