A very short story I wrote a while ago about a girl suffering through an unknown struggle. I am aware there is a lack of plot and insight into what is going on but I just wanted to write about experiences and feelings.

The Bullied Mate
She had tears in her eyes and was looking at me with disgust. Our eyes locked and it was like the world disappeared. It was her and me. I was to protect her with every fiber in my being and in that moment I want to cherish and comfort her and hurt whoever did this to her. Then it dawned on me. I did this. I hurt my mate. I do not expect everyone to enjoy this story, I am simply writing it as a sort of homage to any missing people and know that this is one of the darkest stories I have ever written. A short story about an agoraphobic woman living alone on a small farm property. It follows her descent into hopelessness at her situation, as well as the increasing tension with her twin, who has been taking care of her. This is very amateur, and I don't usually do creative writing, so I apologize for any messiness or beginner mistakes.
