This is a solangelo highschool au where Nico is diagnosed with tourettes syndrome.
Hi, I'm Nico, my life hasn't been easy this far, but things are finally starting to clear up. I'm diagnosed with tourettes syndrome, I'm not going to lie, it's hell, but I'm working through it, it could always be worse, right? I'm a lot better now than I was a few years ago, but it's still pretty noticeable. I'm 15 years old, I'm in ninth, soon tenth grade, and I'm just a normal teenager... Pff who am I kidding, we all know that's not true, I've lost all of my family, my life has been a living hell, but what can you do? I'm able to live with it, so I'm just happy that all this happened to me, and not to someone who wasn't able to deal with it.
Some words you'll need:
Tourettes syndrom: a mental illness (Im not 100% sure that it is an illness but something along those lines, but I think thats what they told me) that makes you do involuntary movements/sounds. In media people often focus on those few that say swear words, but few have these kinds of tics. People with tourettes syndrome also often get extra struggles such as ADHD, bipolar disorder, depression, OCD etc.

Nico diAngelo didn't really have a problem with moving, he just continued his life how it was before. Writing, listening to music, sitting in the back of the classroom, making sure not to get too close to anyone, and maybe falling asleep in class. Also spending half of his energy keeping himself from falling apart. That is, until he met Will. Will was like medicine for his heart. When Will held his hand, it felt as if he could relax and let go of his troubles, but when he had to let go, that was something he wasn't ready for, causing to have meltdowns for the first time in a long time. Will had been living a rather boring life in his town, same faces, same friends, he wanted change. When the new boy was in some of his classes at the start of the new school year, Will couldn't help but be curious after seeing the same faces almost all of his life. He was drawn to him in some way he couldn't describe, and couldn't help falling for him as they spent more time together. This book has characters that are created by Rick Riordan, yet there are a few, like Nico's father which is a small character that I created. This book has come from my own imagination, and if it seems that parts of the plot are from another story, that is entirely coincidental.Complete
