Not long ago, Drake was in jail for drug dealing and is a recovering drug addict. Now he's stuck paying 300 dollars as child support, trying to be a good father, and trying to live his life. Hayden and Drake don't like each other but maybe there's hope in the future. Only time will tell.

There were only two things Summer knew about Christians: that they were hypocrites, and that she wanted nothing to do with them or the God they worshiped. When she is urged to attend a support group led by a local church, the last thing she wants to do is get involved, certainly not with its parishioners. Then she meets Sebastian. A member of the church, Sebastian is a Christian in every sense of the word, with a painfully optimistic outlook on life- even though he is dying of cancer. Despite Summer's animosity towards God, she takes a liking to Sebastian and his "bizarre" Christian behavior. Though neither of them believes in love at first sight, something quickly brews between them as Sebastian makes it his life's mission to show her how a true follower of Christ is meant to be, and help her rekindle her forsaken faith. However, as his health deteriorates, they are forced to realize that it takes more than a little faith to stand against death. Sometimes, it takes a belief in miracles.
