It's been nearly three years since the war between the Dark Lord and The Boy Who Lived came to an end, the wizarding world spiralling out of Choas and into recession. Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry finds itself at a loss as it's numbers only dwindle as the years go on, parts of it's once magnificent structure and grounds still destroyed from the Battle of Hogwarts.

So a letter is sent out from the new Headmistress, Minerva McGonagall. A letter asking for the help of some long forgotten Witches and Wizards, those who survived the war, those who haven't quite found the motivation to move on.

Hermione Granger, former Gryffindor and soldier.
Danny Kershaw, former Ravenclaw and deserter.
Talon Marker, former Hufflepuff and wounded.
Abigail Nicole, former Gryffindor and hunted.
Luna Lovegood, former Ravenclaw and friend.
And one Draco Malfoy, former Slytherin and Death Eater.

Through heartache, long festered rage, understandings, and growth these six witches and wizards find the truth within the hollow halls of their once beloved school, and the strength to move on.

It's easy to think that the greatest battles are fought on the front lines, in dark alleys or behind closed doors. But for Hermione Granger, the most painful war was one she fought in the silence, on her own. Her marriage to Ron Weasley, once a symbol of hope belonging, had deteriorated into something unrecognisable. Behind the warmth of the Burrow, there were shadows-violent, destructive, and suffocating. But some battles, she would learn, were beyond her ability to win alone. When the chance to escape came, she took it. With nothing but her courage and a few belongings, she fled the life that had once promised so much, seeking solace in the place where her heart had always found peace: Hogwarts. But even within the walls of her beloved school, the scars of her past could not be erased. Not until she found herself working alongside an unexpected ally-Draco Malfoy. The boy who had once stood as her enemy, the one who had tormented her and her friends, now offered her a different kind of support. As time passed, the distance between them began to close, their shared history no longer a wall, but a foundation. They find something in each other they never expected to find again-safety, understanding, and love. But just as they begin to rebuild what had been lost, a shadow from Hermione's past returns to haunt her. Ron, desperate and enraged, comes to Hogwarts-his anger consuming him. He attacks Hermione with the same violence she had escaped from, and in that moment, Draco becomes her protector. This is their story-one of rediscovery, of healing, and of love rekindled against all odds. Together, they will rise from the ashes of their broken pasts and embrace the future both of them have always craved. ****Please note, this fic includes graphic descriptions of traumatic events including all aspects of physical abuse****

Editing update: This story is on hold for editing for an undefined time period. ❝Loving your enemy is not easy. Some accept it, while some are hellbent on destroying.❞ Students returned back to Hogwarts to complete their final year after the War saw the defeat of Voldemort and his supporters, almost completely eliminating the practise of dark arts in the wizarding world. They just wanted a simple, stress-free year where they could focus on their graduation. What they didn't want was an underlying conspiracy that threatened to uproot everything that they fought for. Oh, and also a marriage law that could possibly bring lovers together or well, let's hope that the situation doesn't get as bad as some of them having their wands at each other's throats. __________ "Hermione Granger." The goblet glowed in green colour until a piece of parchment flew out of it. Mcgonagall read it and called out the name which was the last thing I remembered because I passed out the very moment the name was announced. Dramatic? I know. But you can't blame me when I was supposed to be married to my once arch enemy. "Draco Malfoy." _________ (Read at your own risk. May contain clichés. You have been warned.) Note: This book is being edited regularly, the chapters are marked (edited) for the same. While the story plot remains the same as my imagination at age 13, the edits will take place on making it flow smoothly. Some chapters are marked (heavily edited) so previous readers are advised to read it again. Thank you.

It has been five years since after the end of the Second Wizarding War, and the Malfoy heir found it ironic how he was expected to attend the fifth anniversary of the Battle of Hogwarts, remembering he was the one who let those foul Death Eaters entered the school. He was about to drink his sorrow away when he set his eyes on the most breathtaking person passing through his table. Little did he know that his life was about to take a turn led by the stars above. #3 dracolovestory #5 hpff #9 afterthewar /*Disclaimer: I do not own any of the original characters from the Harry Potter series.
