From the very moment Tucker Gibbs moved next door, Piper and Tucker were the best of friends. Trucker was new to the small town of Castle Valley Utah from Texas and was in the sixth grade, just like Piper. However, Tucker did not have many friends due to his strange Texan accent. That is until they entered high school, where Tucker suddenly became extremely popular and desirable. After catching the eye of the head cheerleader, Hailey Jamison, Tucker seemed to all but forget Piper's existence. Though Piper and Tucker still talked on the side, their relationship would no longer carry the same spark it once had.

Years later, the two meet once again at their high school reunion, where Piper realizes her feelings for Tucker had never quite gone away. To her dismay, Tucker is now engaged to his high school sweetheart and ready to move onto the next step of his life. After a night of partying and catching up on old times, Piper and Tucker end up on spending one night together...one she had wanted for so long. Little did they know that one night of fun would lead to a forced marriage, and abusive relationship and a lonely woman looking for a way out.
