It's 1925, the neighborhood is safe, crime is low, and security is high for both Karson and Lesley Hendrickson who are two famous actors in hollywood and of course their daughter, Katelynn, whom they treasure the most in their lives. She means the world to them, she would grow up, maybe become a writer, actress, or get married to a wonderful man and start a family if life is good with her. But, what if life comes out with its true form? Will life be unfair just as they say it is? It's Katelynn's seventh birthday, all her cousins, aunts and uncles are invited, everything's going as planned and the adults go to a Masquerade party that night.

But, something's wrong...a murder happened in the middle of the night! No one saw. Nobody knows who the culprit of the murder is and things have taken for a turn...Katelynn is the one who was murdered, and if that's not enough, the murderer is on the lose!

Stewart Cuffman and Evan Stiles and their crew are out on this cold murder case. Their crew believes that Bryant, their current suspect, is definitely the culprit, but Stewart and Evan find some suspicious things about the crime scene-fully convincing them that Bryant is not the culprit. Unfortunately, they come to a dead end when questioning Bryant for answers about the murder.

Will they be able to gather enough evidence to bring Katelynn to justice or will Bryant be put behind bars with a murder on the lose?

Not only is a rough start with the new team that they have to overcome, but also evidence that's truly out of date, and top it off with having the frustration of a new office. Add in the fact that it's an older case and the murders had just stopped without word makes it even harder. But what's now creepy is that the same exact murders are happening again, with the same use of a pool ball at the scene. Can the detectives solve the case in time again? Can they hope for the same success when it seems like everything is stacking against them? Can they figure out if it's a copy cat or land the original killer?
