No one ever expected the office optimist, the bubbly YouTuber, the good girl, to ever be in the kind of trouble she's in. After four assassins show up out of the blue and attempt to kill her, Elena Volkov is taken under S.H.I.E.L.D. director Nicholas Fury's wing and forced to go into hiding while the situation is investigated. Turns out hiding isn't all that difficult when you're with the world's greatest superheroes, but the way isn't all sunshine and rainbows, even as romance slowly begins to blossom. Soon after her arrival, her foggy past begins to unfold and secrets that have been kept from her all her life are revealed, and she discovers something about herself that could prove fatal if left in the wrong hands.
