Prologue
Ezekiel was always been an average individual, a type of individual you'd think have a pretty average life and he did until his father died when he was young but you see Zeke's father was one of the pillars that hold the barriers between the human world and a nightmare version of it called simply the Rift  now when Zeke's father passed away a part of the barrier broke apart and weakened allowing the darkness to seep into the human world bringing all sorts of terrifying monsters and nightmarish creatures to wreak havoc in the natural world to add insult to injury the rift also brought the red mist which also turns any individual who breathe it into a soul hunter a vicious creature with a taste for blood and claws for rending flesh and bone but the world has its own way of fighting these abominations the holy order of the rift hunters who's ranks compose of individuals who train their entire purpose into hunting whatever hell the rift brings in to the real world Ezekiel on the other hand trained with the rift hunters but later quits to become a paranormal detective for hire after the order failed to save the soul of Zeke's sister Ezra another rift hunter after being taken by a high lord demon by the name of Dulum in order to break Zeke's further weaken the barrier. Zeke lost his fate in the order but the hate within him remains and he won't stop until he makes peace with himself and close the rift for good.
