The Purge comes once a year. Every 14-year-old is given the chance to live, but not everyone is desirable. At a randomly selected date, The Purge begins. A child is either deemed worthy, or killed on the spot. To be considered desirable, one must prove their worth. Ellery decided that she would not participate, she would rather be killed than conformed to the perfect citizen, one who isn't given a choice. But when it comes time for The Purge, things change.
