❝ The next few seconds were chaos. Melanie was screaming, rushing in from the sideline. Jack was wildly trying to wrap his arms as tight as he could around Robert's neck before the man flung him out of sight. Then it was just them. Robert quickly closed the distance between them, his face a mask of fury. That's when Troy saw the opportunity. With all his might, he swung his leg, sweeping Robert off his feet.

The man took a hard fall to the ground, landing on his side. Troy scrambled through the grass, just curling his fist around the rock he'd dropped.

That's when they all heard the cold click of a safety.

Troy looked up. A shotgun stared him in face, held by a man who looked like he'd been living on the island his whole life. ❞

'No, he didn't'. I was so shocked by the turn of events. Everything was going fine and then suddenly boom, everything turned upside down. I just couldn't believe this. What did he think of himself? 'Leave me alone.' I said firmly but his hold on me was so strong. I was struggling to get out of his bear hold but to no avail. 'Oh!! So, the poor lady thinks that I will leave her alone and just let her go free?' He had that evil laugh and boy, his breath stank. 'Man, you just signed your death warrant and I will do one favour on you.' No one messes with me. 'Ooooh, I am so scared that I almost peed my pants.' Again that idiotic laugh. I counted till 5 and then kicked right in his balls. I turned around and grabbed his hair from roots, jerked them so badly and then gave my hard elbow shot on his chin. Everything happened so fast for one moment he was standing and the other lying on floor wiggling. I charged at him with my cheetah speed, picked up a wooden rod and started hitting him wildly, 'You idiotic stinky breath was trying to steal my backpack. You are so dead.' 'Favour, favour, favour.' He was screaming in pain just after few seconds and was panting hard. I picked my paste from my bag and threw at him, 'Brush your teeth.' I was fuming. I turned around and saw him standing wide-eyed, 'Hi, I am Scarlett.' I smiled showing my 32 teeth. 'I am scared.' His look puzzled me. Fear The Walking Dead S8 | Troy Otto x Cristine Gerard (OC) Troy was dead-murdered. Cristine had clung to a flimsy thread of her reality through her connection with the ones she was returning to- her current small family unit, her grounding source in an otherwise chaotic existence. Yet, here Troy was, defying the narrative of her fractured reality. Cristine's heart pumped hard, and conflicting emotions drowned her senses. She had endured years of solitude, crafting a facade of resilience, and now, faced with his supposed face, her mind rejected the implausible truth. "This isn't real," Cristine blurted out, her voice laced with desperate denial. The fragility of her mental state, often masked by a stoic survivor persona she had unveiled in full, unraveled in the face of this impossible. "You're not real. "Attempting to escape, Cristine recoiled, trying to distance herself from the phantom holding her captive that defied the logic of her grief-stricken existence. "You're dead." Sheer panic gripped her, an overwhelming surge of fear that clawed at the edges of her consciousness. The very fabric of reality seemed to unravel, and as if caught in a relentless undertow, Cristine struggled against the tide. She suddenly kicked her feet, startling Troy as if trying to dispel an illusion. Breathing became a precious commodity, the air growing thin as panic tightened its grip around her throat. Cristine gasped for air, her chest constricting in the throes of a panic attack. Darkness threatened to engulf her, both in and out.

In the quiet desert village of Dey, living among the sand dunes and mirages, existed an anomaly - me. I was different, born without the ability to read, write or keep long memories. My scientist father hailed my uniqueness as a miracle, but my life was far from ordinary. To the village, I was just an oddity, a walking puzzle with missing pieces. My only solace was my best friend, always standing by me, his unspoken love for me etched in his affectionate gaze. We lived under a cruel regime with a population no more than a hundred. Every year, one of us would be chosen on the Counting Day, a ceremonious banishing ritual, to become yet another outcast to the floating prison island far off in the ocean - our village's dreaded version of population control. Our past criminals, defiant to government, and more terrifyingly, our loved ones gone missing, were thought to inhabit that island, their fate, a terrifying enigma. This year, as the Counting Day approached unrelentingly, and my loved one's life rested on borrowed time, I made a decision. I volunteered to be casted out. It was my turn to face the unknown with a hidden purpose - to locate my lost father who was sent there years ago.
