Casey, a young girl dies at the tender age of 16. She is supposed to go into the light and take her place in heaven. But Casey can't leave her family and her old life behind, so she stays. Trapped in a realm between life and death. However you can't run from god forever, he's kind omniscient in that way. So after many fruitless attempts to bring Casey into the light he strikes a deal with her. He'll give her a month to find someone to watch over her family but then she must come to heaven if not she will be sent to hell for disobeying gods wishes.
But how is she to find someone good enough when no one can see her? Enter Casper a work colleague of her mothers with a passion for anything supernatural. He is the only one who can see Casey and with her time ticking she needs to make a decision. Can she help Casper get in good with her family to take over her job? And when the time comes will Casey finally be able to leave her family and let go?
