She only looked back when she heard footsteps coming along the corridor. The man she saw pass by froze her to her seat in horror. The red and black of the sheriff's cloak flashed away. He was spying on them! Roberta sat for several seconds replaying it in her mind. What if he heard what she'd said about her 'guests'? Allan was a sitting duck now! Stupid stupid! Prince John would become suspicious of her now and he'd never let her out of his sight. She had to do something to throw him off the scent. Something to make him think she was still just an ornery child and not that she was aiding the bandits under his very nose.

Appalled at the changes made by the sheriff they sought to find one known as The Man in Black. Alex's honor, integrity, and vow to King Richard makes him stay in Nottingham to right the wrongs that he has already seen. It's only when the secrets are revealed that changes can be made.
