The land of Edo is ruled over by its governement, and by extension, the Amanto, the aliens that came from off the world and consider themselves it's rulers. There is a group dealing with that corrupt Edo, but they're copyrighted and so, this story focuses on a different group considerably fewer people care about.
Kazuki Kouki is a lazy man who proclaims himself a samurai, but does nothing with that title aside from refuse to pay his landlord and slack off. Together with his partner and friend, Renzo Sakahashi, and eventually some hot girl named Fujino, Kazuki spends his days wandering around, getting in tons of trouble and occasionally doing something right
