Darren Shan finds himself very much alive after being stabbed by his former best friend Steve and decides to hide from the world he once was part of to protect humanity from being destroyed. (This is a fanfiction heavily based off the series known as "cirque du freak", but some elements of the original story have been changed to fit my tale.)
