Connor Murphy is basically a prostitute. He left home at seventeen and realised the easiest way to make a living was by selling his body, which takes a big toll on his mental health. He reaches the point where he feels as though life is pointless. Evan Hansen is a typical college student. He deals with medically diagnosed anxiety and mild depression on top of college classes and his outgoing roommate and best friend, Jared Kleinman.
