As a kid I always wanted to more than what people expected me to.
I spent my childhood trying so hard to impress my dad, trying to fill a void that was already taken but still empty.
And the irony of that was that someone very close to me felt that way as well.
My mother soon disappeared when I was about 9 presumed dead which made my father a shell of who he formerly was. Though after he remarried a year and a half after, he seemed to double in personality and even though me and my step-mum never really saw eye to eye, I thanked her though that.
As a teen I was stupid, my family left me to my own devices and they focused on my step-siblings which made me overstep the boundaries all the time. My grades would've suffered if it wasn't for Mikasa and Armin, who always seemed to pull through.
Barely scraping through tests I managed by the grace of god to squeeze out my high school diploma and tried my luck at college near my house.
At first it didn't work out but with the second interview and a whole summer of back to back courses I managed to stabilise my grades which proved to them that I could be a hardworking student.
But things never seem to run smoothly, do they?
