    A sweet 12 year old from 11, Lily, becomes friends with Ellie, a cunning 14 year old from District 8. Sam, a gentle giant, teams up with Mary, a tough 18 year old from District 5. Two brothers, separated for years, are reunited through the games. One will sacrifice themselves for love, one will commit suicide, one will leave them to aid an enemy.
