Megan - I never thought eighth grade would be so hard nor did I expect everyone to change. All my friends are now ex-friends, and everyone I thought I knew is different. So, when the end of the school year came and I finished middle school with perfect grades, my parents knew I needed a break. Next thing I know, my graduation present is a one-way ticket to some island and resort. It sounds amazing, like the perfect break... I wish my life could be that simple.
Dylan - My parents are sending me away again. Every year during summer, winter break, whatever it is. They didn't even attend my eighth grade graduation. Most kids who aren't my friends expect me to be some stuck up snob just because my parents are rich. My real friends know how much it sucks for me to be sent away every break I get. At least this time I'm going somewhere new, and they're letting me meet people by flying commercial. On the other hand, I hate flying in planes so maybe everyone in the commercial flight is going to think I'm crazy. Unless other people actually can get scared of flying and I'm not a complete disgrace to my parents and family. If only my life was that easy.

Geoff and Naomi are dead, and they're depressed, but when Geoff's cat Bernie dies as well, they embark on a wild journey to find it in the underworld. ***** When Geoff dies, alongside his girlfriend Naomi, they end up sharing an apartment in the Underworld as skeletons. But after a few years, Geoff starts suffering a mid-death crisis. What's the purpose of going through the motions as a skeleton if you can't really live? Then he gets word that his cat, Bernie, just died and he can collect him and bring him home! Geoff and Naomi hurry to get Bernie only to discover that, due to a clerical error, their cat has been lost. With the hunt for Bernie giving new purpose to Geoff's un-life, he and Naomi begin a quest to get back their cat. Battling skeleton pirates, climbing the sky ladder and facing off against the villain who took Bernie, Geoff is determined to find his purpose - or die a second time trying!
