Clay had been closeted all his life and planned for it to remain that way. But, with having homophobic parents it was seemingly impossible to ever find the happiness he longed for. After being outed to the only people he now disliked the most, his parents react worse than expected and Clay falls into a pit of loneliness when he gets sent to conversion therapy to "turn him straight again". George had homophobic parents too and goes through the same. When times are at its worst somehow these two meet each other and now they are isolated from reality in the therapy school. He isn't his usual happy-go-lucky self and hasn't been since the house fire that killed his Mom and sister three years ago. His dad has a good paying job and Kabe has a good relationship with him. His friends have stuck with him ever since the fire. They worry about him because his personality has changed severely over the years, like he doesn't laugh or smile, and he doesn't talk much unless he absolutely has too. Through this story, he'll learn things about himself that he's never thought about; like the fact that he's gay. He didn't really find that out until he met Seth. At first, he never really thought about him, but then as he goes on, he begins to develop feelings for him like he'd never imagine. He runs into some trouble along the way but he stays strong with the help of Seth and with the help of his friends. He is surprised at how much love can change you whether it's for good or for worse.

Jace is a closeted gay male who is hiding himself from his heavily strict parents who don't believe that people are born gay. Rayne is a biromantic asexual who is happily open with her friends but at home shes quiet and scared of who she is, a child of divorce she constantly blames herself for her parents divorcing when she was 10. Kyle is the cool skater boy of the group and always seems to be happy and well composed but when hes alone he's confused and scared about his own sexuality along with his past.
