Between the Stars & Beneath the Waters

Light-years away, there is an undiscovered exo-planet that is habitable. On this habitable exo-planet there is life. On this planet there's a female "alien" who's Earth name is Maddie. Maddie is beautiful with her pale (almost translucent) blue skin, 3 beautifully colored eyes, and her faded black, fish-like tail. Maddie is what's known most commonly as an ashray, and she lives beneath the waters on her planet. She's oddly intelligent. Her family and acquaintances often get weird vibes from Maddie, due to her silence. Little do they know, she is probably the most dependable and trust worthy creature on that planet, and they will soon find out why. Above the waters, there lives a male "alien" named Dakota, who ends up largely impacting Maddie's life. Dakota is seemingly nice company. He's always cracking jokes and making people laugh. He's fairly easy to warm up to. What the creatures of his area are unaware of, however, is that Dakota has secrets... he lives a life full of chaos and destruction. He suffers painful memories of loss and the things of which he has done, and you could never guess the kind of creature that Dakota has become due to his past. A story full of suspense, mystery, and the occasional romance and other complications, is an emotional roller coaster. The moral so far is not to judge a book by it's cover, for your closest of friends could be your own worst nightmare, and your worst of enemies could be the most reliable in times of hardship. It's all about perspective. You will never truly understand another being unless you are them.
