Z is about a girl who tries her hardest to stay out of the spotlight. She's beautiful and poor but she has no idea. Ever since the seventh grade she's been having thoughts that haven't always been hers. She doesn't know this. She's always seen and heard things but never thought anything of it. It's in the middle of her senior year.
Stranger things are happening all around her but she doesn't see anything. When her obliviousness gets to the people in charge of people with 'Gifts' she panics. She isn't as oblivious to know that she's different. She knows there's something not normal about her but she doesn't want anyone to know. But someone has been paying attention to her for awhile.
When she gets to the group of 'misfits' there's another special someone paying attention to her. She's afraid, and that guy has a shoulder with her name on it. What happens when she surpasses people that have been there for four years? What happens when they want her to be the leader? She likes being in the shadows never the light.
