This story is about a girl named mavis, Her older brother tod raised her when there mother and father were murdered in a brutal stabbing. Living off the land in a forest with her brother and a fox named tip, after some time and experiences she realizes she can manipulate fire. One day when mavis and tip were out by the river bathing she met a boy. His name was calvin, he was the first boy other than her own brother she had ever met in her life. They fall in love not realizing who each other is. Calvin is the son of the woman who killed mavis's family. What lead to that? What happens to there love? What will happen if calvins mom finds out? The water creatures: the Sirens, the Mermaids, the Kelpies. The shapeshifting academy is kind of like Hogwarts with the letters and using owls for sending mail. Yes, there is a castle for the academy and no, there isn't any witch or wizards those are supposedly extinct. Now I have to go were going to find out what animal we shift into at the ceremony soon.
