It doesn't always have to be a glass slipper or a kissing frog. Sometimes it takes a loopy, little hullabaloo!

----------------------------------

"I'm sure you remember the episode 'The One With The Pediatrician' from the sitcom F.R.I.E.N.D.S. where Joey chooses to bellow out the name 'MIKE' in the cafe because he had lied about setting up a date for Phoebe with some guy named Mike." she folded her arms.

"Your point being?" I raised an eyebrow at her as all of us were keenly listening to her.

"We have a name we require- Kshitij. We have a cafe right here and I'm sure all of us are capable of yelling a name." She shrugged.

"Yeah right. That would work well. My life is a sitcom and I'm sure there is a Kshitij sitting here, waiting for us to shout his name out!" I stated sarcastically and started walking towards the service counter where Julie was still on short of hands.

"Let's try." She suggested over my shoulders.

"Sure!" I laughed as I positioned myself behind the counter.

Putting on an apron on my large tee, I bent down to pull out a pastry from the glass showcase below for a customer waiting. I handed the pastry on a tray to that impatient customer on the other side when I heard---

"KSHITIJ!!!!!" Drishti's loud voice from the cash counter silenced the entire cafe.

I stood there frozen contemplating the recent happening. Did she just do that? All the heads in the cafe were twisted in her direction. She had a satisfactory smile on her face. The other three of my friends were as shocked as I was. But the thing that followed this hullabaloo shocked us even more-

"Yes?" A masculine voice responded from one of the tables near the reading nook.

[Arranged Marriage Romance.] Nikshit was very late to have realized how stupid he was for coming here. Watching her chewing on her nails while muttering to herself wasn't as pleasant to the eyes as were the patties on his plate. The combination of cheese, garlic and onion on the crispy bread with the combination of chilled soda with a slight burning sensation in the throat was savory. Nikshit almost got lost in the roundness of the plate he was eating from when there was a snap of fingers in front of his eyes. A snap of fingers coated in breadcrumbs. The breadcrumbs which flew in the air and fell on his plate. He wanted to run away without looking back. He should not have agreed to meet her today. "Back to Earth, Dahiya." He looked up with disgust written all over his face but it seemed like Maithili couldn't care any less. She wiped her fingers and crossed her arms before showing a grin that screamed 'you won't believe it but I have a great idea'. "You can't marry me." Of course he can't or he might go crazy within a month. "Oh?" "Yes. I have AIDS." What the f*ck? "Go tell your parents that you can't marry me because I have AIDS." The statement led by a bright smile with a jump on her seat in excitement had Nikshit choking on his soda. Eventually he felt it inside his nose as well when he tried to breathe. His eyes became watery and reddened. Maithili patted his back out of consideration and handed him a glass of water which still didn't help. "Are you okay?" The coughing stopped but Nikshit couldn't wipe off the flabbergasted look from his face. What is wrong with this girl! He doesn't want to stay around her anymore. She's crazy! ~ ☆✿☆~

"When someone suggests you'll end up with another man, you correct them. Firmly. You tell them you're marrying me." Her breath hitched. So he had heard everything. She recovered quickly, forcing her voice to remain indifferent. "That's none of their business." "Oh, but it is," he countered smoothly, his gaze flickering to her lips before meeting her eyes again. "And you make it your business to tell them that." Taani let out a humorless chuckle. "Anything else, Your Majesty?" Yuvraj leaned in even closer, his voice dropping to a husky whisper. "Last but definitely not least, kitten-" his lips brushed against hers, just a fleeting touch, enough to taste the hint of cherry on them-"call me your 'friend' again, and married or not, I won't hesitate to kiss the daylights out of you in front of them." Taani's eyes widened at the brief contact, her breath hitching. Before she could react, he stepped back, slipping his hands into his pockets with infuriating ease, as if nothing had happened-as if he hadn't just turned her entire world upside down. She held his gaze, her voice unwavering. "First, I can hug whoever I want." Yuvraj smirked. "Oh, sweetheart, then you'll see what I do in retaliation and I promise, you won't like it one bit." "Shh. Don't interrupt," she murmured, pressing a single finger to his lips.
