With no other options, the two journey outside the wall to study the monsters beyond, selling the information they find to the city in exchange for their support. While dangerous, they manage the task fine until one journey out they stumble across a disturbing, gruesome revelation that reveals not only more about the city, but the end of the world as a whole. As the duo begin to pull on the thread and tangle themselves slowly into its snare, they begin to realize there's a lot more to this apocalypse than they ever could have imagined, and that the horrific beasts they've been studying might be the least of their concerns...

Only, it's soon her that becomes the one lost to the drains. To survive she must rediscover her world, and in the process, rediscover herself. It isn't overly mature... there isn't much explicit language or sexual scenes, but there is a bit of violence, so just keep that in mind... and despite all that negativity, ENJOY!

An apocalyptic drama in 12 chapters, two parts (6 chapters each), and about 32k words. For fans of such uplifting works as The Road by Cormac McCarthy or The Plague by Albert Camus. Intended/recommended to be read in one single sitting. Next best thing would be in 2 sessions, for both parts (chapters 1-6 and 7-12). Last resort would be chapter by chapter.
