Prism isn't from this planet, this world of barren lands and metal cities. When she wakes to find her memories in scattered pieces, she knows two things: that her previous life is gone, and that she has a mission: Objective 16. With a mysterious voice inside her head guiding her, it seems simple to follow its instructions and fulfill her objective, but things get much more complicated as Prism starts to wonder why she has so much pain, why this pain seems to disappear around a certain human, and if the mysterious voice is a friend or foe. Tavis can handle this. He's Cyberless, living in the Dregs with his insane mom and running for his life every other day, but he can handle this...right? Each night, he secretly begs for a change, just a change in his awful life. When a new, strange girl appears at his school, he gets his wish. But is this change for better or worse? Jade will keep Prism safe and finish his objective at all costs. However, his objective seems anything but simple, especially when it means they must hide among humans, the cause of all his misfortune. And with Prism's sudden collapses and her struggles to remember her past, his problems and worries only seem to grow. But failure is not an option. He will fulfill their objective and nothing will get in his way.
