Tris is at one of the best school of the arts where she is already an aspiring artist in Karate, Taekwondo, Aikido, Krav Maga and many styles of painting as well. She goes under the name of Six. She goes to the annual masquerade the boarding school hosts around Halloween and meets a mysterious blue eyed boy, who she falls for.
Four, the lead singer of a band called Dauntless with Zeke, Uriah, and Will. He and his band are attending the masquerade where he bumps into a mysterious masked beauty.
However, things are not as they seem. What will happen? Read to find out.

Tobias remains in Dauntless, but while he isn't exactly despondent, he does feel out of place. He doesn't fit in and cannot go on with normal life after everything that happened. Then, Choosing Day arrives. And history definitely does not repeat itself when Tris goes through the initiation process with her old friends and enemies, her ex-boyfriend, and the new sixteen-year-olds, while citizens of Chicago are mysteriously dying.
