Let Me Know The Truth

"All of a sudden, you're just gonna walk out of my life? Just like that?" I said nervously while biting my nails.

"It's better if we leave it this way, love."

"Why? Are you not contented with what we have? Is that it? Are you not happy with me now?" I snapped at him, standing firmly on my ground. I need to be strong for this. I need to.

"No! I just can't... I can't live with you." As those words left his mouth, the tears that I was holding back just burst out. I let them stream down my cheeks and feel the hot moisture burn my skin. After a moment of crying, I suddenly breathe out the air that I don't know I was holding back. I averted my eyes at him and just then, I feel like my world is crumbling down before me. Although he did his best to swipe the lone tear that slowly escaped from his gorgeous Cerulean blue eyes, his sniffling and trembling lips just served as the evidence.

He slowly made his way towards me and step by step, he never left my gaze. It felt like I was being held captive by his stare. I didn't move an inch and I just let him close the space between us. I feel his warm arms bordering around me, screaming safety and serenity. He is my home. But I know that it's over. We're over. And what scared me the most are the words he whispered huskily in my right ear, with his soft lips brushing on it.

"I have to let you go, okay?"
