When an Alien ship came to anchor just outside Earth's atmosphere and contacted humans for the first time, the whole planet was in an uproar. People's opinions were divided into two groups. The Curious one, wanting to get to know the aliens and make new friends, excited to discover a whole new world and technologies. And the Scared one, full of hatred and desire to chase them away out of fear for their own lives.
It took several months and countless meetings with leaders of the chosen countries before humans finally deemed them harmless. After that, everything changed. Suggestions were made, plans outlined, and the ultimate deal was finalized. The aliens and world leaders came up with a proposal. A proposal that was advantageous for both parties and promised huge improvement in human technologies and knowledge.
Y.E.P.1. was created.
But there was one catch.
A catch nobody knew about until it was too late.

Having reached out to the stars, human kind believed all was theirs, to be shared with beings like themselves who awaited their arrival. Humans had claimed as their own that which they thought to be theirs. Many worlds were discovered. However, they were worlds without life; habitable and yet uninhabited. The offspring of God could find no others like themselves. They then realized, and they regretted, the universe was theirs alone. In denying God they had sought of themselves as gods. None of them are prepared for the wars they'll fight through, or even the truth. This is the first book I ever ever wrote, so it's a little rough. Consider it non-canon. This takes place well after the Silent Veil, at the end of ACT 1 for the overarching plot. This contains spoilers basically, but most of those plot points have changed anyways since this book was written. There are also themes I don't exactly align with anymore.
