A poem before I update
I sat down at my laptop hugging my coffee cup
You know, to check my email and stuff
An online dating site popped up on my page
my emotions were on overdrive, I felt full of rage
A sea of faces were staring up at me there
Most faded into background as there were two pictures of which I was aware
My husband and his best friend's wife!
why didn't I know, why didn't I see?
What a fool, stupid stupid me
The times he came home with a sorry bunch of flowers
The times he worked late at the office for hours, and hours and hours
Then other days Sowing more seed of deceit
Making me a meal but never taking me out to eat
All the promises with no intention to keep in mind
All the excuses probably even more, he tried to find
Acts I thought were done through thoughtfulness
obviously I realised were now thoughtless
Putting the jigsaw together, as I pour my coffee down the sink
The times he nipped out 'WITH HIS FRIENDS' for a quick drink
I didn't see this one coming , how could he be so careless
I wondered if his best friend knew about this
about their secrecy and their secret meetings
l I'll stay again, even though this time it was a shock
Just then I heard the familiar sound of the key in the lock
He walked in the kitchen and looked at the images on the open laptop
I looked away and you could hear a pin drop
Then
My husband
's best friend looks at me and sighs
'I guess there as bad as us then with all their lies '
then he shuts the laptop and the pictures disappear out of sight of my husband and of his wife

She is an outcast. She finds it easier to express what she feels in the form of writing. Whether it is poems, letters or long texts. These are poems that she writes trying to describe how it feels to live with certain mental health issues, in a world that disregards outcasts. So, these are on the darker side of the spectrum. Some poems might be distressing for some readers. I personally enjoy consuming dark content, it's kinda like a coping mechanism. I really hope none of you relate with any of these :) I'll be posting only poems here, I'll try to be as active as I can. The poems are not in any order. They are just the thoughts that pop up any time of the day. (8.11.2023) PS: Please check out 'safe space'. I need your help to make it a real safe space, readers!
