The Prompt: Twelve Scarborough Scribblers sat around the table. Darcy started us off with a word (she picked "digital") and the timer began counting down. Everyone wrote for 60 seconds, trying to incorporate the word digital into their piece. Then the timer went off again, and another group member called out a word. This continued on until everyone had contributed one word.

Accepting to be a subject for a 'minor science experiment' for a large amount of money is a grave mistake for the Durand family. Now Cecil Durand is coping with unnatural abilities and the burden of trying to hide the fact that she's a complete freak of science in the town of Grimsby. But without the hindrance of money problems, the Durands move to big city Toronto in hopes of a better life-and the lesser chance of someone finding out Cecil's supernatural callings. Please enjoy my first erotic short story collection. It ranges from flash fiction to the novella sized title story "The Yellow Room". There's also ten naughty poems. Some of the stories are smut. It's safe to say, this is ONLY for a mature audience. Enjoy! The Beach is a short about an overly excited newly married couple. It's followed by a flash fiction of a sex dream. Then we have our title story, a novella about a marriage in trouble. Is seeking total sexual exploration the way to fix it? What is the "Yellow Room" and how does it change their lives? Next on tap is Poem Porn, then a curious letter about a lesbian encounter going into a new world where everything is changed for all involved. Another flash fiction is next. This time it's a cutesy tale with a more tamed description. That's followed by a novelette called Chopshophop (Dirty version - used with permission) with a chance encounter after a criminal couple rip off an innocent woman whose innocence soon ends. Afterwards we get a whole week of a wildly sensual story! The final story is a shorter novelette version of our title story, but from his point of view! Look for another Yellow Room book in 2025!

After a night on the town, Sarah wakes up to a miserable hangover. But it's nothing compared to what comes next. After attempting to light a cigarette, she feels that something isn't quite right. Soon she'll discover that everything is very wrong. My entry in the Open Novella Contest III, Feb 2020. April 28. Just got the news that Thirteen Points has made it through the second round. Now I have to finish by May 5th. I'm not as far along as I had hoped at this point, but I'm sure I can make it. May 4th. 12:10 am. Finished. Submitted. Good night. May 20th. Well, 13 Points made the Long List. I have no idea how many original entries there were but about 940 made the first cut. There's 150 on the Long List. Not bad for my first time out. Now we'll wait and see how we fare on the Short List. May 30th. Well, Sarah and company didn't make the Short List. I can't say I'm disappointed though.
