Tim and Amy are inseparable---That is until Amy goes off to college, in New York City. Tim feels like the love of his life has been ripped out of his soul yet again. She made a promise that in ten years she would marry him. Can the promise be kept, or will two-thousand miles apart ruin that?

Ten years later, Tim's life is a huge success. Putting love behind him, Tim gets a job writing for the local newspaper, in Deer Creek. He writes the touch warming stories of everyday people. His boss suddenly wants something more, something more personal relating to himself. When Tim tells her he can't write a paper on his personal life, she digs into his personal life, discovering from past teachers, friends, and family the relationship that he had with Amy Stein. She books him a ticket to New York, saying that he must rekindle his relationship with Amy, and write a story about it.

Will Tim be able to pull it off, or will his heart end up shattering again? Love is one of those things that comes in all different shapes and sizes.
