After the town's annual end-of-the-summer dance, the shy 17 year old let's her date coerce her and her friends into getting on a boat and celebrating. Reluctant, because of the bad weather, she obliges. Obviously, that was a mistake because one moment she is helping herself to a drink and a deep conversation, and the next she finds herself underwater in the churning stormy waters of the Pacific Ocean, struggling to get to the surface.
