I adore the way Edgar Allan Poe was able to seamlessly incorporate such poignant imagery and complex literary devices into his macabre works. He truly was a tortured genius, and this will be a series of my own [poe]ms and short stories inspired by him. I hope that I will be able to write with a mere fraction of the skill that Poe seemed to be overflowing with.
