This is book 2 of my Hiccstrid fanfiction series, which is why I highly recommend reading the first book, 'Don't Leave Me' before commencing with this. Hiccup was always considered the weakling of the village, he was bullied, pushed around and beaten up by all the other teens, even his cousin and the girl he loved. but it was only until one day when he shot down a night fury the most feared dragon in the whole archipelago, the so called offspring of lightning and death itself. But when he couldn't kill the dragon he took the other option... and trained it. him and toothless were the best of friends but one day when he is chosen to kill the monstrous night mare in dragon training , he can't handle it so he runs away on the back of toothless, but only for the two to be snatched up by dragons. but 5 years later when hiccup returns to Berk, he is not the hiccup they all once knew.

The moment where 19 years old Hiccup and the whole gang suddenly appeared in the past where the Red Death is still alive, Hiccup is still a scrawny kid and have yet to meet Toothless, Stoick is still stoic, dragons are still vicious beasts and Viking and Dragons still fought each other. It's been a month since Dragons and Vikings were brought together, now the only thing left to do is train them. Its close to winter in Berk, putting everyone on edge for food. Hiccup, the chiefs son, also the one that brought dragons and Vikings together isn't worried about the snow at all. He's usually the one to take advantage of the snowy weather, going dragon sledding with Astrid and the gang. But when Hiccup, mysteriously falls ill with an unknown sickness, Stoik's worries for his survival in the cold grow. In hopes to cure his only son Stoik sets out to sea to find the right medicine leaving Hiccup in the constant care of Gobber and Astrid. When tragic strikes, and Hiccup is now left on his own, his chances of surviving become small.
