This is a story set in the Harry Potter universe. Alex is just starting his first year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, but strange things are happening to him and his siblings.

Being a muggle-born at Hogwarts was bad enough, but being poor and a commoner in a school that was populated with royalty and nobility was enough to make Emily Connor cry. I admit, I've never read the books so I had to draw my information from the movies and from her vast knowledge of Potter lore. NOTE: I committed two major sins in this story, so if you are a "Potter Purist", they might upset you. #1: I know that JKR has stated that their is no tuition at Hogwarts, but I needed there to be a cost to make this story work. #2: My daughter gave me a list of spells to use, but I didn't tell her that the story takes place in 1899, so my frequent use of Muffliato takes place some 60 years before Snape (who wrote the spell) is born. She is close to the golden trio. From her various love interests and an underlying plot connected to Voldemort, her years at Hogwarts will be anything but normal.
