"Okay, you guys can come now.  The institute has another mission for you." The unknown voice said.
"No actually, we want to stay here.  Like forever." Katrina said.
"Is this because of the girl?" the unknown voice asked.
"Well yeah, but we need permission to tell her everything." Aaden hinted, tell who everything.
"What that you're angels.  I don't know if that's a good idea." I wanted to move, or twitch, or yell out that they're freaking angels, but I stay put. 
"Please, after all she's kind of one now too." I sat up straight and leaned on my hands.
"I'm a what!" I yelled.

Things have finally started to calm down, but Satan is still at large and he has Aphrodite.  Forced to keep a low profile, the friends head back to school, but tensions get thick as old friends and enemies approach and secrets start to unravel leaving Cat on her own to decipher it all by herself, but what if she's not alone, and past events stick with her no matter what she tries to do to forget about them all. Trigger warning: contains descriptions of physical and emotional abuse, blood and gore. Excerpt from chapter 2: I carefully begin pouring the white powder onto the floor, drawing a large pentagram. I spend a lot of time on the intricate details, making sure everything is perfect. The summoning circle quite small, but it will have to do. I clap my hands twice and hear a soul-crushing scream that appears to pierce my body to its core. Hearing the sound fills my stomach with butterflies and gives me a fuzzy feeling. I haven't heard a single sound in almost a year. Following the scream, a shadowy figure emerges. He appears deep black, littered with stars, as if a human-like shape has been carved out of the universe, but also strangely transparent, as if made of glass. His long arms end in clawed fingers, and his ears and horns are goat-like in appearance. On his back are two bat-like wings. He speaks in a deep voice-the only one I've heard in a long time. "Mortal, why have you awoken me from my slumber?"
