Most woman would say Kate Harper has it all. Her dream job as a kindergarten teacher. A loving family who adore her. No school loans to pay off. Even free rent as she lives at home to save money up to buy her first house. However, in Kate`s eyes, that is far from the truth. At 30, she has yet to find a man who is remotely interested in considering her wife material and helping her 19-year-old sister Charlotte plan her wedding as her matron of honour doesn`t make it any easier. Kate has written love off completely and declares herself an official spinster.

As she arrives at work early one morning for an early parent and teacher conference with her student Chloe`s father, she is rattled beyond belief to see her favourite soap star and secret Hollywood crush Grayson James walk through the door. Being a complete klutz doesn't help either, as she takes a tumble find in front of this Adonis of a man. When she mentions she is a fan, Grayson is annoyed instantly, informing her there is more to him than his career. Kate manages to get through the interview as quickly as possible that is, until Grayson asks why she is not married. She declares she has written men off and will be a spinster for life.

Kate is left unhinged by her encounter with Grayson, that is until she comes home that evening and Charlotte informs her that her fiancé`s best man has dropped out of the wedding. Kate informs her the new best man is Grayson James, and Kate is mortified. When Grayson and Alex arrive that evening, Kate finds herself instantly falling hard for Grayson. As the wedding planning goes by, will Grayson be able to look beyond Kate`s average looks and fall in love back or will she be self-proclaimed spinster for life.
