I do have a life. No matter what they say.
It's just that my life involves staying at home, listening to John Mulaney standup on my iPhone, drawing, and kids cartoons.
That doesn't mean I'm dead.
I still have a life.

But of course, opinion is a very delicate thing.

"Ah! Hey!" I jump up from the floor, wiping blood off of my now broken nose, glaring at the kid with the smirk and the trench coat who has tripped me.
"What?" He asks smugly. I lunge at him, people crowding around us-
But suddenly I'm falling. From the sky. And I'm clinging to a boy with a smirk and a trench coat, and wings are unfolding from his back- the ground is so close, we won't make it- but I won't die clinging to this jerk.
My hands loosen on his coat. His eyes widen fear coating his features.
"Wait, stop, you'll die if you do that! VIL-"
