Emily Caufield is top of her class at Conway's main district school. This public school is where she plans to finish out and get her diploma- -until a letter from AAMS (Arkansas Academy of Maths and Sciences) arrives in the mail, offering generous financial aid if she wishes to attend. Of course, she accepts the offer and transfers to the prestigious charter school in January of her sophomore year. And she's terrified. It's a boarding school, meaning no parents to run home to. Rightfully so. AAMS is a prime example of a school for preppy rich kids. But Emily is neither preppy nor rich, and she isn't used to handling people who are. Will she be able to fit in at this new school? Or will she be an outcast? Will she be able to handle the advanced curriculum? Or will she fall flat on her face? All Rights Reserved
