Growing up in a small home, with her mother, father, and irritable sister, her life seemed like the normal thirteen year old life. But, when a war between riches springs up, her father has to leave home and go off to war. Top that off with him, along with her mother dying, her life seems to be spiraling out of control. And even worse, her sister is missing. At her age, she barely knew how to walk to school by herself, now she's scavenging for food, wandering her now destructive town, and trying to stay alive. How worse could it get? Did I mention there's a boy involved.
Join Alex on her mental growth journey as she searches for her sister, questions her religion along the way, and tries to keep Ethan from distracting her plans.
