For the minority of the world- color is foreign.
For the majority- they live a life full of color.

Within this world based around finding your true love, one stops aging once they hit 18 until they find their soulmate: for the purpose of growing old together in love.

Now.. Which category do I belong? Well, before that let me finish what I was saying.

Love is vital, whether you're human or the smallest organism skittering on the ocean floor. Love is needed and desired, maybe it's because of our basic instinct to reproduce, or maybe we just want to be loved. Well whatever it is, think about it, if you lived in a world where your entire reason to live was to fall in love- the term "true love" is more than just familiar.
But there's much more than just the naive idea of a happy, loving life.

Immortality, one in which you would gain the benefit of being loved forever...being in love for eternity.

Oh right, there's a downside to finding color in love, because once one of you die in a relationship- the other is left in a colorless world once more, a life anyone and everyone would want to avoid.
Which is why I consider myself.. A genius of sorts.

I've been 18 for the past 13 years, and this doesn't mean I would be considered 31. Actually, I'm about to be 18 for the 14th year in a row now...

Are you asking how?

Time stops once you're 18 until you find a partner to age with.
You're guaranteed to find love once you turn 18- all you need is a partner for the clock to start ticking.
2043 is nearing its end, and 2044 it's beginning. The end of my 13th year being 18, and the beginning of my 14th year.

Immortality- the only way one would be able to achieve living forever..doesn't it only make sense to have the benefit of love along with it?
Otherwise wouldn't it just be considered a colorless immortality?
