"Can we meet?" Yukti asked, her voice barely above a whisper. There was a pause. "Now?" "Yes." "I'll be there in ten minutes." And exactly ten minutes later, her doorbell rang. Yukti took a deep breath before opening the door. "Yukti, what is it?" Yuvraj asked, slightly out of breath, concern flashing in his eyes. She didn't reply, just stepped back and gestured for him to come in. As soon as he did, she closed the door and before he could say anything-she hugged him from behind. Yuvraj froze. "Yukti?" His voice was gentle, but when he heard the small, muffled sob, his entire body tensed. "Yukti..." The sobbing grew louder. Then, she broke. Her grip on him tightened as she cried-really cried. Her sobs echoed in the silent room, her body trembling against his back. Yuvraj felt something sting in his chest. He slowly turned around, and the sight made his heart clench. Yukti's face was stained with tears, her eyes swollen, her lips quivering. "What happened?" Yuvraj whispered, brushing away the tears on her cheeks.
