Steve is a zombie fanatic and spends most of his university days 'preparing' for the apocalypse and when it does finally happen, it's nothing he imagined it to be. So there he is in the middle of an apocalypse, no girlfriend, no plan, no pants and to make matters worse, his arch rival (and tag along) Stan, has feelings for him. But hey, not everything goes to plan.
