Lyra grew up in the system, she ran away when she was sixteen and grew up fast on the streets of Las Vegas. At twenty-two she is self-employed and independent. Her life is forever changed when she gives a pale stranger a ride to the center of the Vegas strip. 
In an instant the world is set ablaze. Lyra takes the hand of a woman that is all to familiar to her and she is whisked away to safety.
