The Knight's Promise is the second of five short stories introducing the five main characters of my new series, The Covenant Cycle. This story follows a young girl who accepts an invitation to leave her homelife to transform herself into a Rune Knight - an elite warrior who harnesses immense magical power. In order to learn and become who she needs to be, she must leave behind all that she once knew: her home, her family, her life, and even her name.
