Harry Clark, Jayden Smart, Ash McKinnon and Melody Rios were best friends in high school. Of course, every school has that bad ass guy that all the girls want. But Melody was that one girl that never wanted him, she didn't even like him. After their graduation, there was a family issue amongst the Rios family, so Melody had to go back to Spain, and that was the last anyone, even Ash, heard of her. In fact, the entire class seemed to drift completely apart after graduation, apart from Harry, Jayden and Ash.
5 years later, their school gets knocked down, so they have their first reunion early in memory of the school. Old friends reconnect, and catch up on what's happened over the years. Ash is taken aback at Melody, as she's far paler and skinned than she ever was. He's determined to find out why. But, will Melody's boyfriend allow that? Will he even allow her to talk to her friends after the reunion?
Ash gets mad when he finds out who her boyfriend is, and what's he's done. Melody finally escapes, and is happy for a while, and on the road to recovery.
But good things never last in the Rios family.
